Products Resins

Our sources for resins consist of a wide collection of chemistries and physical properties ranging from water based to solvent based, powder to bead, and low to high solids. These resins can be used in coatings, adhesives, inks, cosmetics, and building products. They can also be formulated to meet low to zero VOC products.

 

Alpine Chemical offers an extensive line of epoxy resins for traditional epoxy systems, as well as powder coatings and UV-curable resins, under our Alpoxy™ trade name. In addition, we prepare customer specific blends in any combination of our resins and additive products.

Our epoxy additives are marketed under the Oximod™ trade name and include a number of unique epoxy diluents not available elsewhere. In addition, we are an authorized reseller of the Croda B-Tough™ rubber-based toughening agents.

Alpine also offers an extensive line of specialty amines under the trade name of Adamine™. We offer polyamine-based epoxy curing agents matching many of the established industry standards. We also offer alkyl dimethyl tertiary amines for use in surfactants and various other applications.

Dianal America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Rayon Co., manufactures 100% acrylic solution polymer beads. Dianal produces coatings resins that add value to the inherent properties of objects made from metals, plastics, and paper.

Dow Construction Chemicals division manufactures spray-dried latex powders. The dispersion powders offer a variety of useful possibilities for building materials. Special properties for mineral-based materials include: improved workability, excellent adhesive strength on different surfaces, improved open time, hydrophobicity and abrasion resistance.
